Trump signed an Executive Order titled “Unleashing Alaska’s Extraordinary Resource Potential.” This was part of Trump’s campaign promise to “drill, baby, drill!” It calls for prioritizing Alaska’s natural gas reserves for export as liquefied natural gas, and rolls back restrictions on drilling, mining and road building in Alaska that were implemented by the Biden administration.
